World Oral Health Day 2021 & International Women’s day 2021
The Department of Public health Dentistry as a part of commemorating World Oral Health Day and International Women’s day organized a special dental camp for elder women aged 50 years and above from March 8th to March 20th at KMCT Dental College. Dental treatments such as oral prophylaxis, restorations, RPD’s and extractions were done freely for the Registered patients at KMCT Dental College. On 20th March, the intern batch of 2020-21, gave oral health awareness sessions to patients in the waiting area of different department OPDs’. The awareness topics focused on various topics of relevance to prevention of common Oral health problems encountered by the public in the concerned speciality. Dr Dhanya Muralidharan, H.O.D, Department of Public health Dentistry welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of World Oral Health Day. Dr Manoj Kumar KP, Principal of KMCT Dental College, inaugurated the oral health awareness session which was followed by address by Vice Principal, Dr NizaroSiyo. The oral health awareness session flagged off from Department of Orthodontics and each awareness session was followed by patient interactive session. The program concluded at 1:30 PM in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
