Department of Conservative Dentistry and endodontics ,KMCT dental college was formed in the year 2006 with the aim of training young graduates & postgraduates in the field while upholding professionalism, human values & ethical practices.
It embraces the practice of operative dentistry and endodontics that includes various direct and indirect restorations of individual teeth .The department also specialises in the treatment of pulpal and periapical diseases through non-surgical and surgical intervention as well as pulp regeneration techniques. The students are also provided training in aesthetic dentistry & smile designing.
The department follows all requirements provided by DCI and is thus equipped with the latest facilities such as DOM (dental operating microscope) ,laser, thermo- plasticized gutta percha system, rotary endodontic & re- treatment systems, endosonics & ultrasonics power bleaching, latest light curing units & micro abrasion equipment .The department is also attached to a fully equipped ceramics lab managed by trained lab technicians.
The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics take pride in offering value added and capability enhancement programs for interns that equip them with added skills necessary in general practice. The undergraduate & post graduates students are also exposed to interdisciplinary procedures to develop a broad understanding and gain hands on experience on the various range of treatment provided in the department.
