KMCT Dental College Hospital
was started in the year 2005 with 25 chair and 5 doctors. It started off its service with basic treatment procedures and as the needs arose, the hospital expanded in both services as well as infrastructure with more than 300 chairs and around 70 doctors. The Hospital provides the best in dental care and stresses upon retaining the natural tooth as far as possible. Where in case of restoration is required, we provide the best option possible to the patient which is based upon the latest advancements in the field of dentistry which includes implant prosthesis, cosmetic dentistry, orthognathic and reconstructive surgeries, lasers etc. The following nine departments are functioning in the Hospital with most advanced dental treatment under the supervision of eminent doctors at minimal rates.
Oral Medicine & Radiology
Advanced, most modern techniques used in imaging methods for diagnosing dental diseases, cancer detection. A well organised MRD is managed by the department.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
State- of- Art facilities for Corrective Jaw Surgery, Wisdom Teeth removal, Cleft lip and Cleft Palate, Facial Trauma, Temporomandibular Joint Surgery, Oral cancer, Implants, Orthognathic Surgery & Cosmetic Surgeries.
Pathology and Microbiology
The department boasts of a fully equipped histopathological lab fit to give reports of all the pathological conditions related to the oral cavity. There is also a research microscope with many attachments including a camera which can be used for research studies.
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Surgery
Orthodontics entails the management of tooth movement; dentofacial orthopaedics involves the guidance of facial growth and development, which occurs largely during childhood. The department is proud enough to provide the best quality appliances at the lowest cost and advance treatment methodology with the supervision of eminent faculties. There is also an advanced photography room to record the status of the treatment. There is also a computerized cephalometric analysis to provide more accurate information so that we don’t take a chance in our treatment planning.
Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
This department is the busiest of all with the maximum number of patients coming for restorations (fillings) and root canal treatments. It stresses upon the need to restore the natural tooth structure with conservative treatment procedures. The departmental has state of the art equipment which includes digital radiography & intraoral imaging, apex locators, dentine desensitizer & odontometer, thermoplastisized G.P system, reduction gear hand-piece. A fully installed ceramic unit and restorative Dental Laboratory capable of doing specialised laboratory work to deliver a comprehensive treatment
Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge
Prosthodontics is that branch of Dentistry pertaining to the restoration & maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance & health of the patient by the restoration of natural Teeth and or replacement of missing teeth & craniofacial tissue with artificial substitutes. The Department of prosthodontics deals with a wide array of problems Encountered such as complete loss or partial loss of natural teeth, Jaw joint problem and Loss or absence of craniofacial structures due to various reasons and are treated using modalities such as complete dentures, Fixed prosthesis, Maxillofacial Prosthesis & Dental and Maxillofacial implants in an aesthetic way
Periodontics
The Periodontics has a wide range of activities covering all aspects of Periodontics, bone regeneration and surgical implant procedures. Research is a core activity of the section with many contributions that have developed in platelet Rich Plasma, Biochemistry of Gingival Crevicular Fluid, advanced diagnostic aids and surgical techniques for bone regeneration around teeth, alveolar bone and dental implants. Laser procedures are routinely done so that the treatments are minimally invasive, less painful and less time-consuming.
Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry
The idea behind the philosophy of children's dentistry is a commitment to consider the child's feelings, to gain the child's confidence and co-operation to perform the treatment in kind and sympathetic manner, to be concerned with not only providing the treatment currently required but also promoting child's future dental health by taking the necessary preventive and corrective methods. The department is equipped as disable friendly and special care is given to differently abled children free of cost.
Public Health Dentistry
