NEET-UG to be Held on May 6, 2018
The online application forms for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test [NEET-2018] for the admission to MBBS-BDS course are now available for submission. The last date for application submission and payment of fees to write the examination is March 9, 2018 and March 6, 2018 respectively. The Exam will be held on May 6, 2018.
It is mandatory that candidates should fill up the application form on the official website and they should have an Aadhar number. However, for Non resident Indians [NRIs] should have an Aadhar or passport for applying NEET exam. AIIMS, New Delhi and JIPMER, Pondicherry are excluded from the NEET 2018.
Candidates should come under the age group of 17-25. The age relaxation of five years will be given only for SC, ST and OBC candidates. The open school or private candidates [passed grade 12] are not eligible to write NEET.
The exam fee for the general and OBC candidate is Rs 1400 whereas for the SC, ST, and PH candidates are Rs 750.
Pattern of Test
The NEET [UG] exam comprises of one paper consisting 180 objective types questions from physics, chemistry, and biology. The duration of the exam is 3 hours
